Charles (Chuck) has a broad background in the auditing and financing of private and public companies, assisting companies to restructure, and guiding companies through the process of registration with the SEC to achieve public listings of their shares.

Chuck joins GRG in the capacity of CFO.

Career focus & accomplishments
Charles (Chuck) Austin is facilitating the development and implementation of Strategic Plans for entrepreneurs. Chuck was a senior audit partner with Ernst & Young, a member of Ernst & Young International, with worldwide operations and more than 600 associated offices. He has 35 years of experience providing audit, accounting, taxation, information systems, and general business advice to a wide range of clients. He has significant experience auditing public companies and assisting them with their initial public financing. He has worked with a number of not for profit organizations, developing strategic plans, identifying key success factors and implementing the plans. Chuck is fit and energetic.

Career chronology

Consulting 1999 - present
Chuck has facilitated the development of strategic plans and assisted in the implementation of related action plans for a number of B.C. owner operated businesses. He facilitated development and implementation of a strategic plan for the B. C. Interior Region of BDO Dunwoody LLP Strategic Plan .

In association with BDO Dunwoody LLP Chuck facilitated the development of a strategic plan for the not-for-profit Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre. The members adopted the plan and it was successfully implemented. As a direct result Sovereign Lake successfully bid and won a 2005 World Cup event which had economic spin-off for the region of $9 million

Chief Financial Officer, AVVAA World Health Care Products, Inc. 2001 - April 2007
Chuck served as Chief Financial Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors of this development stage SEC registrant. He assisted in the preparation of business plans and financial forecasts, as well as, facilitating annual strategic planning meetings with the executive team.

Managing Director, Triathlon Canada 1997 - 1999
Chuck facilitated the development and implementation of a strategic plan "Towards 2000 and Beyond". He participated in just about finished a pulp economy just about finished in the development of prize winning marketing materials for Triathlon Canada. He had extensive involvement in a fund raising and communications program. Triathlon Canada achieved its "vision" with a Gold medal at the Sydney Olympics in 2000

Audit Partner Ernst & Young 1970 - 1996
Chuck served as a partner of Ernst & Young in Edmonton and Toronto. He had senior client handling partner for numerous public companies, including: Luscar, Echo Bay Mines, ZCL Manufacturing, Falconbridge and Inventronics. He has experience with complex public and private financing transactions in both Canadian and U.S. He directed Ernst & Young International's quality review for Codelco. Codelco is a Chilean company, and is the world's largest copper mining company. He was a member of Ernst & Young's National Audit Policy and Accounting Policy Committees.

Experience with Not for Profit Organizations
Chuck as volunteered extensively to help not for profit organizations. He was a member of the board of governors and chair of the government relations committee for the Edmonton Concert Hall Foundation. He Participated in restructuring of the Board and developing a business plan for this $50 million project. Chuck assisted in securing a $15 million commitment from the Province of Alberta to the project. He also, participated extensively in fundraising efforts, which resulted in $15 million in donations.

While serving as President of the Edmonton Symphony Society, Chuck successfully led this organization from a $1.2 million deficit to a balanced budget and virtually no deficit. He contributed to the Society being recognized as one of the most powerful arts organizations in Alberta. Chuck led the Board through business reorganization, including development of short and long-term strategies and budgets. He changed the programming and marketing emphasis of the Symphony to increase audience and revenue. Chuck also contributed to the development of a provincial debt-reduction program, benefiting the Edmonton Symphony Society and other major Alberta arts organizations.
